GARNER GLASS COMPANY Material
California has made it very difficult (read costly) for us to make parts from any glass containing a toxic compound.Garner Glass can no longer make parts from source glass containing lead or other hazardous materials. We can supply a glass that is quite similar to a lead glass in melting point and coefficient of contraction -- if you can tolerate modest changes in properties. A rough count of the number of glass types available to Garner Glass Company totals about twenty. Some types are no longer available in tube form. In order that we might continue to serve our customers with these glasses, we have developed an ability to draw glass parts to their final diameters directly from molten glass. Our capability is limited in volume, glass type and size of part, but invaluable when applicable. If you have a part to be made of a glass whose availability is questionable give us a call. We may be able to help with our warehoused glass supply or assist you in changing to a more available glass type.
